We believe the future of work should inspire hope, not fear. Learn how we make AI labor market data accessible to everyone.
Our Mission
AI Changing Work was founded on a simple belief: people deserve clear, honest information about how AI is changing their jobs. Not hype. Not fear. Just data.
Hope, not fear. Courage, not despair.
The conversation about AI and jobs is often dominated by extremes - utopian promises or dystopian warnings. We started this project because workers deserve better than clickbait headlines. By translating peer-reviewed research into plain language, we help people make informed decisions about their careers, education, and future.
Our Data & Methodology
Every data point on this site is traceable to a published source. We analyze 1,016 occupations from the O*NET database using a rigorous, multi-source approach.
Our primary data sources include the Anthropic Economic Index for task-level AI automation assessments, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook for employment projections, and peer-reviewed academic research on AI capabilities.
We apply a 5-tier source hierarchy: (1) Academic peer-reviewed research, (2) Government statistical agencies, (3) Think tank reports, (4) Corporate research labs, (5) Established media analysis. Higher-tier sources always take precedence when data conflicts.
Our baseline data starts from 2024, with forward projections through 2028. All projections are clearly labeled as estimates and updated as new research becomes available.

Editorial Standards
Transparency and accuracy are central to everything we publish.
- All content undergoes data-driven analysis with human editorial oversight. We never publish claims without supporting evidence from credible sources.
- Every claim in our analysis is categorized: verified data points are labeled as facts, expert opinions as claims, and forward-looking statements as estimates. This helps readers assess the reliability of each piece of information.
- Source citations are required for all data points. Readers can trace any number back to its original research paper, government report, or dataset.
- We conduct regular accuracy reviews to ensure our data reflects the latest research findings. When source data is updated or corrected, we update our analysis accordingly.
About the Team
AI Changing Work is an independent research project, founded in 2026.
Our focus is making AI labor market data accessible to workers worldwide - from software engineers in Silicon Valley to teachers in rural India, from nurses in Germany to accountants in Brazil.
We are not affiliated with any AI company, tech corporation, or lobbying group. Our analysis is independent, and our only obligation is to accuracy and to the workers who use our data to make career decisions.
We believe that information about how AI affects jobs should be free and accessible. That is why all our core data and analysis are available at no cost, in 11 languages.
