- -게임기획자와 게임시나리오작가가 구상한 내용을 참고로 캐릭터와 배경화면 등을 구상한다.
- -스케치 작업을 거쳐 색을 입힌다(컬러링 작업). 작업계획을 세운 후 그래픽 소프트웨어를 이용해 캐릭터의 모습과 주요 움직임, 아이템, 배경화면을 구성하여 모니터에 그려 넣는다.
