Real estate agents and property managers arrange the sale, purchase, rental and lease of real property, usually on behalf of clients and on a commission basis.

Duties
- -법인 또는 개인사업자가 기업 및 기관(금융기관, 정부기관 등)과 거래, 계약, 금융업무 등을 진행하기 위하여 신용정보를 의뢰할 경우, 기업 및 기관에 대한 조사·분석에 착수한다.
- -증권감독원, 상공회의소, 법원등기소 등 관청이나 관계기관, 협회, 조합 및 사업체를 방문하고 자료를 수집한다.
- -사업체의 사업내용, 거래실적, 설비규모, 자본금 및 사채발행 현황 등과 같은 자산구성, 경영자의 능력 및 동종업계의 현황과 전망 등을 조사·검토한다.
- -수집된 자료와 조사내용을 정리하고 회보서(조회보고서)를 작성하여 의뢰인에게 제출한다.
- -정기적으로 신용상태를 확인하여 변화가 있는지 없는지를 반영해 재평가한 후, 새로운 신용등급을 부여하는 업무를 수행한다.
- -개인의 신용을 분석하기 위해서는 고객의 제출서류, 신용평가데이터에 의한 종합적인 분석을 통해 신용등급을 판단한다.

- -사고 통보를 접수하면 손해발생 사실을 확인하고, 보험약관 및 관계법규 적용을 적정 여부를 판단한다.
- -사고특성에 따라 분야별 보험금심사원을 선정한다.
- -사고원인, 손해정도, 손해액 산정 업무를 보험금심사원에게 위임하거나, 함께 조사한다.
- -조사내용을 분석·정리하여 손해액이나 보험금의 적정 가격을 결정한다.
- -보상범위를 결정하기 위하여 보상금심사원의 보고서를 조사하고 유사한 보험클래임이나 판례, 사례들을 검토한다.
- -보상청구의 타당성 여부와 협상이 관례 및 절차에 따라 이루어졌는지 확인한다.
- -보험금 청구의 적정성을 심사하기 위해 변호사, 의사 등 전문가에게 자문을 구하기도 한다.
- -손해사정서를 작성하여 보험회사 등에 제출한다.
- -의견을 진술하거나 손해사정서 내용을 보험회사와 보험계약자 등에게 설명한다.
- -전문분야에 따라 1종 화재보험과 특종보험, 2종 해상보험(선박보험, 적하보험, 항공보험, 운송보험 포함), 3종 자동차보험의 손해액 및 보험금 사정 업무를 수행한다.
- -3종의 경우 3종 대인손해사정업무, 3종 대물손해사정 업무를 수행한다.
