Graphic and multimedia designers design visual and audio-visual content for the communication of information using print, film, electronic, digital and other forms of visual and audio media. They create graphics, special effects, animation or other visual images for use in computer games, movies, music videos, print media and advertisements.

Tasks

- -게임기획자와 게임시나리오작가가 구상한 내용을 참고로 캐릭터와 배경화면 등을 구상한다.
- -스케치 작업을 거쳐 색을 입힌다(컬러링 작업). 작업계획을 세운 후 그래픽 소프트웨어를 이용해 캐릭터의 모습과 주요 움직임, 아이템, 배경화면을 구성하여 모니터에 그려 넣는다.
- -게임 제작이 완성된 후 캐릭터나 배경이 어색한 곳은 수정하고 보완한다.
- -게임 상에 보이는 메뉴, 창, 설정 창 등의 인터페이스(interface: 서로 다른 시스템을 연결해주는 부분)를 제작한다.
- -원화가가 그린 캐릭터나 배경을 3D프로그램을 이용하여 만든다.
- -모델러가 만들어 놓은 입체물에 색감이나 질감을 입힌다.
- -반복되는 동작들을 정교화한다.
- -마법이나 기술 등 각종 효과를 제작한다.
